Farmstay Accommodation

Farm Stay Accommodation Experience
Twilight Grove Farm offers in combination with our B&B, a unique farmstead
accommodation experience. Farmstay guests are invited to take part in the day to day chores of our farm or simply relax in the country atmosphere. Our farm stay experience is perfect for everyone of all ages looking for something more than just simple accommodation. Whilst you stay at Twilight Grove Farm in our B&B, you are encouraged to take part in daily activities on and off the farm. We are always open to suggestions as to what you may like to do, but we believe the activities/packages listed below offer a great way to experience the real 'Australian Outback'.
As a farm stay guest, the facilities of our Bed and Breakfast (B&B) are available to you. However, coming to Twilight Grove Farm Stay gives you access to a wider variety of relaxing and enjoyable activities with your hosts Ken & Isla. If you would prefer to just 'sleep & eat' - then we suggest you may find the B&B packages better suited to your needs.
Twilight Grove Farm
Our farm is a working farm. In the past, our primary focus was as an Apiary or Beekeepers. However, of late our honeybees have suffered
terribly with diseases
. Our bees are European honeybees
and each hive consists of a bottom box, which has the queen bee, drones and a nursery. The upper boxes house the honey storage. Several times a year we collect a portion of the honey in the storage boxes as rent (and for your toast & tea!).
In addition, we generally have small crops of either tomatoes, capsicum, watermelon,
pumpkins or zucchinis to help feed our bees and our guests. Sometimes we are very busy with ploughing fields, watering or harvesting crops! We have cattle on agistment as well as our house cow, Becky and regularly tend to their needs. We have two horses that are now retired, but they help to keep our grass cut and nowadays like to spend their leisure time being petted by visitors. All of our vegetable scraps are fed to the chickens, and in return we gather their eggs for your breakfast. All guests are always welcome to help with any of these farm chores.
A wide variety of native fauna & flora
The farm has many native animals that you will enjoy watching in their natural environment. We have Grey Kangaroos
and Pretty Faced Wallabies
that are always grazing in our paddocks. They are our resident lawn mowers! Our Koalas
on the other hand, can be a little more difficult to find. Except in mating season, when they become very easy to spot, because of their loud grunting calls. There are also Possums
and Sugar Gliders
, that come out in the early evening and are truly fantastic to watch as they migrate from the hills to the valley in search of food. Bandicoots, Paddy Melons,
Goannas, Frilly Lizards, Frogs and Dingo's all share our farm as well.
For our visitors that enjoy a bit of twitching, there are many native birds that call Twilight Grove home. Magpies, Butcher Birds, Kookaburras, Kingfishers, Wrens and Crows all have a song to share with you while you visit. Seasonly King Parrots, Parrots, Galahs, Black Cockatoos, & Wood Ducks all visit our farm from time to time.
